The Visit

How the ninety minutes flow

Arrival and welcome
Students are greeted at the door, shown to their tables and introduced to the room and its history.
The lesson
A guided etiquette lesson at real place settings, taught at the group's grade level with plenty of practice.
Tea service
A child-friendly tier of sandwiches and sweets with caffeine-free tea, hot cocoa or pink lemonade.
Questions and keepsake
Time for questions, a group photograph and a small keepsake for every student to take home.

Planning Details

Everything your chaperones need

Group size

We host 10 to 60 students per visit. Larger groups are split into two seatings on the same day.

Chaperones

One adult per ten students attends at no charge and is served tea alongside the group.

Allergies

Tell us about allergies when you book. Nut-free, gluten-friendly and dairy-free plates are prepared on request.

Accessibility

The tea room is street level with an accessible restroom. Tell us about any accommodations in advance.

Arrival

Buses may unload at the front door. Parking is available on the surrounding streets and in the adjacent lot.

Invoicing

Schools and organizations are invoiced directly. Deposits are only required for groups over forty students.
